Coming in nearly every material?porcelain, jade, metal, amber, etc.?and style, there is a snuff bottle for every collection to be found within this session. Most of the snuff bottles on offer come from the private, premier collection of a gentleman in Cleveland, Ohio. Foremost among these is Lot 899, a blue and white porcelain snuff bottle with enamel accents dating from the Jiaqing period. Other notable lots in this session include a white jade melon-shaped snuff bottle dating from the 18th century, an inside-painted snuff bottle by Bi Rongji, and an exceptionally large inside-painted snuff bottle by Yan Yutian.
